Honorary Degrees

The honorary degree is “not earned – but deserved” degree. It is designed for the person who does not need to prepare for ministry with an earned degree but has already made an impact with their ministry.

Honorary Degree Requirements:

  1. Must be forty years of age or older
  2. Must submit a resume with photo
  3. Obtain three letters of recommendation:
    a. Written by people who have personally known the applicant for a minimum of five years and who has had a professional or ministerial relationship with the applicant
    b. One page in length each
    c. Must include the recommender’s name, address and phone number
  4. If applicant has any written work (book, booklet, article, etc.), please submit a copy

 

Administrative Fee: $950.00 USD

Honorary Degree Programs

Doctor of Letters/Literature (D.Litt.) is awarded primarily to individuals who have made contributions in the secular arena.

Doctor of Divinity (D.Div.) is awarded to individuals as a religious or sacred degree.
